how these posts get written

I did not write most of the sentences on this site. A model did.

I learn something and I take notes. Then I try to cut those notes down to the shortest version someone could have explained it to me and had it click straight away. That compression is the part I care about and it is the part that is mine.

That version goes to a model, along with a set of rules about how the post itself gets built. What comes back is a draft.

I read the draft, then I read it again, and again. Wording I do not like gets changed, and so does tone, structure and anything that sits wrong.

When I stop finding things I hand it to someone else. Usually a friend who tells me what he did not like. Sometimes a model reading as a persona, a software engineer with no ML background for example, telling me where it lost him. Whatever comes back turns into another round of changes.

I write very little of this by hand. Everything here still ends up written the way I want it written.
